Vinita Nair
Nair joined ABC News in July 2004 and has covered a variety of subjects, including that of the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, and school shootings near Bailey, Colorado. Nair became a part of ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. As a reporter she anchors live news coverage and news briefs for ABC's network on the internet. Nair served as co-anchor on World News Now, America This Morning, and ABC's digital networks starting on September 17th, 2008 through February 18th 2011. For both of these shows, she was partnered first by Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. Nair announced on Thursday, 17th February, 2011, that her last night hosting on World News Now would be Friday, 18th February. The same day would also mark her final day on ABC News. The former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her replacement immediately. World News Now, February 18 included three tributes to Nair. Former and current colleagues appeared in the segments. She treated the crew to hot food in her final day.
